hello. 8-10 years ago, i frequented online chatrooms as an 11-13 year old (like an idiot) where a man in his late 20s who went by Ghillie Dhu/Alec attempted to groom me into ‘e-dating’ him and sending him pictures. i was pretty naive and lonely as a pre-teen, but luckily i had older brothers who saw his messages to me and immediately clocked him as a predator. one of my brothers frequented TC in his high school years and sought to track down kimmo alm and other pedophiles at this time.
after i rejected alec and told him to leave me alone, he proceeded to spam the websites i frequented until they broke, and also TC. my brother said people were trying to track him down and report him for child grooming and regularly posting on cp websites.
he disappeared suddenly and then i grew up and stopped going on those dumb chatrooms, and years later i asked my brother what became of that whole scenario.
he told me they discovered alec actually resided in new zealand, despite him telling me he’s canadian, and reported him to the local police— upon entering his home, they found he committed suicide.
i only heard this supposed conclusion from my brother, who is a good guy, but he tends to believe anything he hears. was anyone else around at this time to confirm this really happened? it’s a long shot but i’d figure i’d ask.

thank you for looking through everything for me. i did look through some of those threads myself and discovered that ghillie dhu also went by the name ‘mountainman’ on tc and mc.
when searching mountainman on these sites, i found various threads of people calling him a gross pedo who goes after 13 year old girls, and also a thread of him claiming he’s trying to make the moves on a girl he believes he is in love with— this was right around the period we were talking and he was heavily flirting with me, so i got creeped out and stopped looking lol. i don’t think he was referring to me then, i don’t know how many young girls he was talking to, but just the thought of this older man thinking he was in love with 12 year old me...ugh.
i have screenshots of every interaction i’ve seen of him if anyone cares. i also found an old video someone screen recorded the old pokemon chatroom i frequented, where his username can be seen chatting in it...trippy.
i’ll ask my brother for more information too. thank you kind anon :)

I was around at the time but I never heard of this. I hope he did though, he always used to talk about how he abused his position in church to molest children. Good riddance to bad rubbish! Hew claimed to be Australian so the NZ thing makes sense. There is a New Zealand troll active though, who could be the same poster anonymous. I don't think that Mountainman and your person are the same.
