I sleep in 36-hour shifts because I've got no money or food, there's nothing to do within walking distance, got no computer to apply to jobs, most of my friends live out-of-town, and I'm generally unmotivated to do anything anymore.

Watching YouTube and porn and browing the Chan's on my phone gets tiresome.

I suppose I could read some wholesome literature like 'Mein Kampf' or 'White Man's Burden', but the message gets redundant.

There has to be more to life...

Hey man, I've been off the crack for 3 days now, and hoping to stay clean.
I would never end up on the street btw. My family's well-off and wouldn't let that happen. They just refuse to lend me $ while I'm using.
Plus I get a Homelessness Initiative subsidy that pays my rent up to $1200/month through the Canadian Mental Health Association.
As long as I stay in their jurisdiction, I get my rent paid, and receive other supports.
Plus, I've got job prospects lined up. Turning my life around, man, but I like your optimism...

As to optimism? Well I being a long long term buddy of bert and watched him kick hard drugs but alas he turned to the bottle and without wealthy parents nor a welfare system that could keep him off streets - Now that he has somewhat kicked going full on hard drunk and has a job I am somewhat optimistic he can make it. Deal is all that abuse has fucked up his body so that is a problem long term
