Like, without turning the paper, and maintain exact precision. Also from memory

over9000 hours of practice

That's like, 9000 divided by 10 hours, which is 900 days thus, 3 years or so?

No I mean like, technique, because, Loomis, scoro, bridgeman, ...cloth fold book, whatever.

It's just a bit harder to tackle than the other basic stuffs. Or just different.

@previous (A)
yes, if you practice 10 hours a day for 3 years you can definitely master this

...its not an rpg so why is it as unclear on text as much how it works. this assumes you know how to draw i suppose. you. its not a speed practice either. its just a fundamental itself.

@679,595 (FuckAlms !vX8K53rFBI)
actually,i doubt it. it's very specialized or at least different. Also i do it from my head. Also how about write a proper tutorial for it. I'm stuck on a few things.

Grid structure with a known understanding of perspective. Or using lens boxes as they naturally flip images.
From memory is just dumb. The same thing? Or everything? Sounds like a stupid parlor trick. But.
There was that 1970s experiment of wearing altered prescription glasses to invert the way your brain processes visual inversion. (Combine that with fish oils for color intensity) Both take about a week for your body to adjust.

Yep, I remember a video where after a week or two he was riding a bicycle. After taking them off he couldn't walk straight.

I've never tried it. But it's been on my mind for over 30+ years.

@679,625 (E)
> grid
i proudly can say i cheated thru this in ways i dont even imagine. not ai either. i can even give footage. its basically kimjunggi but past his expiration date. mostly betty edwards.
> dumb
what? it worked for everything else, for me.
> living rotated
seen em on bbc or whatever, never tried this, but i use a mirror once, still, and my hand motion rotates too. dumbest thing ever since, well, you are learning to move , upside down. not really drawing it. what i mean is, more of rotating the subject not your motion itself. bittoomuch extra that all.

or maybe its actually "knowing things, rotated" too me. different thing entirely. also, i thought of that. i thought its gunna be funky, like, having an ms paint in your head funky.

That's where it's a parlor trick and not drawing. Investigating or getting results; purposeful. Maybe there's the mental stimulation, but direct drawing from actual observation leads to better hand eye coordination.
If the take is good modernist...
I remember this guy coming into a grade school art class pretending to be Leonardo di vinci. He dressed the part and then wrote and drew everything upside and backwards. So the class basically lined up and had him draw circus and jungle animals upside down and backwards based out of each students name. Marc Brown (Arthur) was a lot more interesting but for some reason we had these left over hippies coming into our school for stuff like this.

·Anonymous C3 months ago, 14 minutes later, 2 days after the original post[T] [B] #679,637

@previous (E)
> better hand eye coord
disagree just because writing, texts, also need handeye coordination to look, like a writing, from the reference text. its too fundamental
> parlor trick
sure, but its not a thing back then either
> davinci
> pretend
... is that even a real story
oh you mean, your own, experience. its also not something known so, are you actually seeing things? even "stupid parlor trick" gets around quick.
> backwards?
whats that
> marc brown
illustrations are all good i suppose, but techniques are techniques, foundations are foundations, betty edwards, left right brain, hell, left rightbrain,
anything learnable is, worth learning they say.
so, wheres this parlor trick tutorial you are saying then, other than in some south korean's gravestone.

> hippies
> drawing upside
i knew some hippy but they are mostly muslim interested in playing john lennons original or in rendition. in animation school. also not a muslim college whatever. tbf, cant blame them, i also do not wanna share my findings and such... total waste of time, regardless of how thin the subject matter is. its like a young marc brown deaged by a serum and trying school again but dressing up as girl while using boy sounds and eventually realising the american particle is the cause of the stupid things called consoles. also theres like alot of them so, im the real hippy as in, minority.
