Does this mean your clients pay for one and for free get two?

Nice! I hardly kept mine, we had the second hand CD shops in town and I was on a budget (but liked new music releases). I'd buy the new CD and sell it in 3 weeks so the shop would give me $7 for it - I'd put that toward another new release.
Basically it worked out to about a $25 a month music habit to keep rotating out CD's a couple at a time.

Oof. I have all of mine, but it's not that much. I wish we'd had a shop nearby back then, I probably would've bought more and explored more if we did. Being a 30 minute drive (one way) to Best Buy I only really picked up stuff that I was 95% sure I liked the whole album, so there wasn't really any surprises. Nowadays pretty much the only place you can even buy CDs in a store are secondhand shops. They're still all on the opposite side of town though.

I remember that. We also had Circuit City the next block over. One of the clerks hooked me up when I bought a censored CD on accident and let me return it opened. Good times.
We have a vinyl shop downtown that has CDs still, mixed feelings on that though. I know he just goes down to the thrift shop and scoops up all of the good ones then doubles the price back at his shop.

Fucking pieces of shit, art shouldn't be a commodity, especially older shit.
Get copyright strikes for using ancient music in YouTube but can rip off folks with physical media lmao

Cat bump? My cat used to knock over my CD and book stacks; she was kind of a turd.

Young'in here, CDs began to die out in my time, but I have ripped dozens of my father's discs for my own enjoyment.
I would like to rip his entire collection one day for the sake of archival.
