I’m always curious how someone of one faith can thoughtfully and persuasively debunk another faith without ever turning that critical eye on his own.

That helped pull me out. I noticed people seem to be born into their flavor, then they say their religion is the right one without acknowledging that fact. I started asking questions like 'what's wrong with my Methodist bud, he seems to mostly have it together. Why is his religion the wrong one?' Or witnessing to Jews about Jesus... seemed kinda silly... stuff like that.
