It's going to be baked into everything like emojis so buckle up. Image search is getting worse too, even using "no AI" some gets through with DDG.

Unfortunately AI art/text/facts are seeping into everything now....

Well it's good to see I'm not alone. It's not that I'm against advancement in tech shit. But when it becomes available to every Tom, Dick and Harry it just goes insane. Facebook is now just full of fake news articles with pictures you really have to examine closely or they can fool you. Sure the stories are outrageous and AI driven which is pretty easy to spot and Of course FB allows it because it generates clicks because many of the retards there believe all of it. Sad.

VEO 2 it amazing and should be kept under control as it will cost more than many can afford, at least for the time being.

I come in here because it is a small bit of the past left that is still within reach. Guess I'm just an internet dinosaur who remembers a better place we can never go back to.

AI certainly has valid uses, particularly in the fields of research where it can process large volumes of data like whalesong recordings, but for the general populace it's just another shortcut to further avoid doing something constructive and for businesses it's a cheap way to generate content that they previously would have had to pay someone to.

Pretty much. I just think back too much probably. I remember when they came out with web page builders that was already coded for you. I thought that was amazing, no more writing them out lol I use to go to this chat back in like 95 or so that if you wanted to put a picture from a site in with your message you had to code the link into the text box.

Are talking software like FrontPage, or online stuff like Wix? I remember using FrontPage in high school to build a site. I've always been skeptical of stuff like Wix though, because just generating code doesn't cover server costs unless you're either injecting ads or embedding trackers to sell the data. That or it's a "you can generate a site with us, but you have to pay us to host it" kind of lock-in deal, which then if they're hosting it, why wouldn't they inject ads or embed trackers to increase their profits?

I was talking about the angelfire and geocities. Long before Wix

I wonder about that sometimes. I basically left the social media platforms 4-5 years ago. Twitter, instagram, facebook and so on...although I do keep a throwaway fb account with only couple people as, friends on it. I use it at time for certain things. When I do go in there it is totally different now than it use to be it is like bots are running it. It isn't used anymore to keep in contact with real people like family and friends.

I'm glad I got away from all that shit. If you know who Jaron Lanier is, he tried telling people what was happening and how it was going to end up years ago. And he was pretty much spot on so far. He nailed it on the AI and algorithms.
