There's heaps of live music at not too expensive prices. If you want to see a billionaire pop star, it's going to cost you. If you want to see a garage band from your city, it's going to be not expensive.

basically there's 2 times you go to concerts in your life:
- when you're young and just want to get out and will pay a little to see some nobody play loudly for an hour
- when you're middle-age and can afford the prices for bands you really like but then everybody else there is also middle-aged and the band is dying their hair to hide the gray

I think they are recouping the losses they took during covid and cashing in on the 'cost of living collusion - I mean, cost of living increase' that we're all experiencing on everything. Corporations suck.

Ha! Yeah :'(.
I pulled up 311 tickets for example and general admission was over $100, VIP $400, and what I'm assuming is a hang with the band for $3500 *_*.

Taylor Swift should do a Dutch auction for seats in her concerts. Not all concerts, maybe 1/3. Starting at $1,000,000. The purchaser can choose which location. After that gets sold, the price drops by $1 etc. Then she retires from the $500 million she earns from that concert.

@676,313 (D)
well ticketmaster is screwing you six ways to sunday, so that's part of the problem. always check the venue website.
although in your particular case it looks like it's an outdoor "temporary" venue which doesn't otherwise have its own ticket office so you're shafted no matter what

You need bots for anything big, at face value. It's the best reason to have a corporate job.

Yes I go to high cost concerts and just hate the monopoly Ticket Master has. When they are at Snapdragon Stadium I get in comped re Qualcomm's naming rights to the venue. Coming up in Oct and I don't have a clue about any of the bands listed. A quick look C and many are DJ's and a Girl who wears a Horse Head Mask. Betting not one of the bands/DJ's is my cup of Tea.

NOW ducky there is a tone of GREAT Music at Clubs and Don't know about where you live but here and San Francisco and Los Angeles and New Orleans and New York city for Sure - Small venues often with NO cover charge and even Dancing. A great place to meet people and have a drink or snack or dinner item and Music - Often cover bands
Memories of being outside at Coyote Bar and Grill in Carlsbad with a Cover Band doing Johnny Cash and other similar music for DANCERS -
This venue is right next to the train tracks - Imagine this - The band is playing "Folsom Prison Blues" by Johnny Cash, which features the iconic lyric, "I hear the train a comin', it's rolling 'round the bend".
And as they are singing that very LINE - A Train with whistle is rolling down the tracks - Yep band and all attending were in SHOCK -
Point is - Search LIVE Music at small venues and for me I sure met and dated and fell in love a few times - MORE than a Few times and almost Married again a Well few times. This kind of Music post divorce Changed my LIFE for the BETTER by Miles n Miles.
