+Anonymous B — 2 months ago, 3 hours later[T] [B] #675,224
yeah i aint fighting. the ones who voted for this can go and duke it out with iran for all I care. biden wasn't perfect and niether was kamala for that matter but to say the current situation was always the lesser of two evils really needs to locked away in a asylum for life.

Israel should simply do this to Iran.

> Draft-dodger becomes Commander in Chief
> Vows to pull out of Afghanistan on a ridiculously accelerated timetable because 'it's time to be out of the Middle East'
> Loses election and the successor gets stuck complying with said timetable
> Country collapses immediately
> Draft-dodger gets "elected" again
> Declares war on Iran 6 months in
Have fun, fuckers.

Pretty much all in nutshell. Luckily I'm outside the draft age range so that's not my problem.

I've always had mixed feelings on that; was willing to defend the country for my relatives and community, but wasn't stoked about foreign policy.

Same. I highly doubt a draft will ever be reactivated, though. It's not like 100 years ago when people were generally in good shape and believed in fighting for their country. There's way too many fatasses in the younger age group now who might support the government anonymously online, but they'd be useless dead weight in real situations.
Also, with forced conscription you get lots of people who either crack in the moment or go AWOL or suicidal. A volunteer army looks after it's own much better, incurring fewer losses.
