I’ve seen people on the internet say the Irish are the Koreans of Europe because they were both oppressed by island people. I think that’s wrong.
You can tell a lot about the character of a people by how they react to being in the home of the enemy.

Dunno. But I like to think filipinos are the asians of latinos/hispanics. If I had any shot of being with an asian woman it'll be mostly be with a SE asian before a central/north/eastern asian. Then again considering the Philippines was once a colony of spain so it makes sense.

They’re also Catholic. Either that makes the Irish the Filipinos of Europe or it makes the Spanish of Ireland.

That is sadly true. Sad because at one point blacks and irish folks legit got along in the United States due to shared experiences. Like imagine that once upon a time they co existed but then the wealthy politicians of the time decided to sow discord by offering privileges like being able to vote. And well.. the rest is pretty much history from that moment on.
