Topic: I don’t understand Russians

Tbh I don’t really get Russia. Like they had their whole little communist thing, and communism is far left economically. But now they’re sorta on a right wing thing with Putin. They never had democracy. They’re Orthodox which is almost Catholic but not quite. It’s better than Protestant I guess. The whole communist thing would have been okay, because communism is fundamentally anti imperialist and that’s good, but then Russia became so ideologically extreme they turned anti imperialism into an imperialist empire… which is ironic and now the Eastern Europeans don’t like communism anymore. They sorta ruined communism.

Is Trumpism better than Marxism?

I guess the problem with Russia is no matter what ideology they say they believe in, they’re still Russian. From the Tsar, to the USSR, to Putin, they’ve always been expansionist authoritarians and that’s basically what’s gonna keep happening until the mongols make a comeback.

Maybe it’s sorta like how every country has their "soul." Americans have the constitution (that was the plan anyway lol), the British have their king, Italy has the pope, Japan has the emperor. The Russians lost their tsar, but they never let the imperialist authoritarian asshole spirit die. Somehow Japan did, dunno.

Because Japan got nuked twice and americanized. The Russians have never lost the mindset they inherited from the Mongolian Khans whom they used to be vassals off. And that's why we are still in this mess today.

Tbh I kinda respect the Chinese more than the Japanese for not surrendering their independence to be in good favor with the west.

I wish we nuked China as well. That way maybe we would get double the anime.

Tbh I probably wouldn’t have nuked Japan. I’d just do what the Soviets did and just send American soldiers to mainland China to fight Japan. I mean, it seems weird that Japan wasn’t surrendering until you think about it from the Japanese perspective. If Americans are so afraid of causalities from invading Japan that even after the entire Japanese navy has been defeated, Americans will only do coward shit like firebomb cities from airplanes rather than just put boots on the ground, I wouldn’t really feel like surrendering either. I’d just skip all that and just send in all the Alabama boys and let them figure it out. Alabama redneck wakes up in Japan, has to figure out life. What happens? We don’t know! If you search "Japanese redneck" it’s not even googleable. You’ll just get AI pictures of shirtless Asian men. It’s kinda gay acrually.
