Idubbbz just made an anti Trump video / Elon Musk video.

I never really liked Idubbbz, back in middle school when he was popular I remember finding out about him by finding his video where he was giggling saying the n word while unboxing human shit. (The literal meaning of those words.) He’s not the greatest "comedian" of all time and his girlfriend does / did onlyfans (does he still have the same girlfriend - idk). Like when I was 13 I thought it was kinda lame but as an adult, yeah it’s just a lost cause for me.

Anyway, I just wanted to put that out there, because I can’t decide if I should care. Should I say what my political opinion is on the internet? Everybody’s probably gonna guess wrong so whatever. Who cares.

Really Sam Hyde’s humor is pretty easy to understand imo. His humor is meta irony. Irony is saying the opposite of what you mean. Meta irony is being ironically ironic which is essentially saying the opposite of the opposite of what you mean. But if you’re saying the opposite of the opposite of what you mean, you’re really just saying what you mean in a funny voice because you’re embarrassed to say it directly. That’s literally the entirety of the depth of his humor. It’s not complicated.

I saw the video like a year ago and I don’t feel like searching for it, but there was a video where he was talking to some guy on the phone who was writing an article about him, and Sam Hyde said the sentence, "Do I have views that would be considered alt right? Yeah, but we don’t do vicious racism."

Also, to be totally honest, I’m a black guy, and I used to look at his content because it’s the kinda stuff that’s funny because it’s inappropriate the same way filthy frank was. But I got tired of it because it actually is pretty formulaic once you get over the "woah this guy is saying crazy stuff" phase and you actually start noticing that he actually does have a fairly consistent worldview and every joke is just a variation on the same joke of pretending to be somebody pretending to be a Nazi except you’re actually a Nazi but it’s funny because you think nobody else gets the joke so you can get away with it.

And if you watch his videos that aren’t comedy that are just him talking with his friends about random topics, you can kinda tell what ideology he has by who he hangs around. Like he hangs around some guy who’s a Christian nationalist that thinks Jews are some supernatural force that’s been around for millions of years that’s impossible to defeat. I’m not saying I hate Sam Hyde or anything, I’m just saying, he is alt right, and every joke he ever makes is supposed to be funny because he’s "getting away with it." He can be funny though, I’m just saying, that’s just what he is. He’s anti Zionist but he’s anti left wing at the same time. That usually only means one thing, I’m just saying.

I know that jokes are jokes, what I’m saying is that just because someone is telling a joke doesn’t mean there isn’t an ideology behind the joke. What I’m saying is that Sam Hyde is alt right, he mostly hangs around alt right people, and most of his jokes have something to do with the alt right. Really I was just mentioning it because I’d never really assumed idubbbz was left leaning, but Sam Hide is right wing, so the way idubbbz talked about Sam Hyde should have been a giveaway that idubbbz was probably the opposite of whatever Sam Hyde is. Also idubbbz used to do collaborations with filthy frank, and even though filthy frank was supposed to be "edgy" (in a different way than Sam Hyde), I’m pretty sure that guy, idk if joji is his actual name, but whoever he is, the guy who’s persona was filthy frank I think was obviously left leaning. Because with his jokes, obviously jokes are jokes, but he made fun of conservatives, white people, and trump specifically.
