At my job they made it a big deal that i didnt come back on time from a 10 min break. Granted its my first time thats happened to me and im still relatively new to the job. However I made a mental note to never let that happen again and more importantly to never give my higher ups any excuse to ever correct me on anything. One time is enough for me. To that end today I was scheduled from 1:30p to 7:30p. Its 7:30p. They asked if Id like to stay an extra couple. I said "no. Im done for the day."
I'm making it a point to follow the time to the T. You want me to come back exactly 10 mins after my break? Cool no problem I get it. But when its time for me to clock out. Im clocking out. No ifs, ands or buts. i dont want to hear " you know if want to stay extra-" NO.
