According to Deuteronomy 21:18-21,
The Stubborn and Rebellious Son. 18 If someone has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not listen to his father or mother, and will not listen to them even though they discipline him, 19 his father and mother shall take hold of him and bring him out to the elders at the gate[a] of his home city, 20 where they shall say to the elders of the city, “This son of ours is a stubborn and rebellious fellow who will not listen to us; he is a glutton and a drunkard.” 21 Then all his fellow citizens shall stone him to death. Thus shall you purge the evil from your midst, and all Israel will hear and be afraid.

Sometimes people are psychopaths, they don’t learn from their mistakes, and you’ve just gotta throw rocks at them. That’s just the way it is.

Haha, if one is Christian then the Revelation of the Incarnation informs and fulfills Scripture. God commanded through Moses that the people listen to the Prophets or be 'cut off', so when personal responsibility and dismissal of blood libel were emphasized (cf. Ez.18 inter alia) it is considered development of doctrine. Since Jesus is THE prophet and has given of his Spirit, we are free from Mosaic law which once served to form a people for the Christ since we know Him now, those of us who listen.
