Do you ever have thoughts about life but you feel like you can’t share them with anyone? I feel like most people are either shallow or untrustworthy.

Only if I'm around people who cause problems, because there are no secrets when you're alone. If I share my concerns, they'll exploit them.

lol, that’s technically true. If you’re in a room by yourself you’re not keeping a secret from anybody in that room.

Tbh, I feel like it would be great if someone existed that made me feel the same when I’m with them as when I’m alone. I hate feeling like anything I say might be used against me in the future. I don’t get it either because I never do that to other people. I don’t guilt trip people for stuff or try to embarrass people.

Also, people are untrustworthy because they always tend to be self-indulgent (by putting themselves first; “I'm better than everyone else, I'm the one who can do it!”) and inconsiderate to those around them (can't put themselves in other people's shoes, oblivious to others' experiences), even if they won't admit their subconscious intentions. Despite being a hypocrite, it's true regardless.

Something I’ve been noticing in college with non-Americans is when I ask people from Asia for favors they actually get worried about it from my perspective instead of their perspective while when I ask Americans for the same thing they’re only concerned with how much the favor inconveniences them. I think the self indulgence a lot of people have could partially be a cultural thing. Not completely sure though, but it’s a pattern I’ve noticed.

Good observation. Americans tend to be more narcissistic and wonder "what's in it for me?" and if you try to help this type selflessly they're suspicious of motive since they never act selflessly and if you don't remain vigilant they will view you only as a dispensable resource.

No because I ask God about everything. "No disciple is above his teacher, no slave above his master. It is enough for the disciple that he become like his teacher, for the slave that he become like his master." Mt.10:24,25
