Topic: White right wing japanophiles

+Anonymous A6 months ago #67,507

A phenomenon I really don’t understand on the internet is white dudes who don’t like immigrants saying they like Japan because Japan doesn’t like foreigners. Do white people think they’re Japanese or something? Do they not realize that if they’re white that would inherently make them a foreigner in Japan? I can’t make sense of it. Think about it the opposite way around for example. When was the last time you ever heard an Asian person in the United States say the United States should be less accepting of foreigners and that the United States should be more white? Have you ever heard a Chinese American say that? It doesn’t even have anything to do with how they feel about different groups of people, it would just be a stupid thing to say so they don’t say it.

I mean, okay, imagine for a second, you were a white guy, and you hopped on the next flight to Nigeria. When you got off the plane in Lagos, imagine you held an event down in Nigeria, where you got up on stage in front of millions of black people, and you, as a white dude, were like, "Hey Nigerians, you need to wake up, foreigners have destroyed your country!" And then you were like, "Wait a minute guys I thought we were just talking about Asians what are you all looking at me for?" That would be pretty fucking stupid. So like why do white people try and do the same thing with Japan? It’s like the most anal retentive personality bullshit I’ve ever seen.

> an Asian person in the United States say the United States should be less accepting of foreigners
There was never any Hollywood propaganda, from its inception up to the '70s (e.g. Bruce Lee), that portrayed Asian immigrants in a positive light. They created a lot of the stereotypes, after all, to sell the idea of 'Americanism' to Anglo-Saxon immigrants. This country is comprised of immigrants from the whole world so it's not comparable to the homogeneous cultures they came from. I thought we already covered this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RuoynYcUMvw

Tbh I don’t follow celebrities or anything but some American artists have been to Nigeria, like I think Cardi B went to Nigeria some years ago, but she’s black so…

Tbh the British isles were never homogenous to begin with. Ireland, Scotland, and Wales are Celtic, England is Algo Saxon, except Saxony is in Germany, and English is a Germanic language but English split off from German when the Normans from France invaded England in 1066. Nothing about any of that screams "homogenous culture."

In 2014, 45% of Scottish people voted to leave the United Kingdom. They’re not homogenous, they’re not one culture.

AI says:Yes, Cardi B visited Nigeria in 2019 as part of a mini West African tour that also included Ghana. This was her first time visiting Africa

I have been to Nigeria many times over many years. Much more better places to travel too.
Interesting food but one will notice it's not popular in the Americans or Europe.

This is true, but I was addressing the propaganda and the idea of 'Americanism'. I studied German when I needed two foreign languages for a scholarship back in the '80s. Native languages didn't count since they were still trying to eradicate them via the BIA even then. I had an Irish foster father and learned this history as well, but the white nationalism movements seem unaware of it.

@previous (C)
I think the thing with Japan is just that some people who believe in that myth like that Japan is ethnically homogenous. Although, ethnic identity has more to do with cultural association than it does with genetics. For example, Americans call everybody in Africa black, even though people from different parts of sub Saharan African are more genetically distinct than say a Japanese person and a French person, but they get categorized as one race in the west because of physical appearance. In China for instance, in the west people often say China is homogenous. Except Chinese people don’t all speak the same language, so linguistically China is more diverse than America, but "racially" it’s less diverse. So the concept of what counts as diverse or not diverse is inherently arbitrary and it’s dependent on what arbitrary aspect of being human, physical appearance, language, cultural identity, etc. is most relevant to people which is different in every society. So for example a white person might not see Nigeria as very diverse and just think "oh everybody’s black they’re all the same" but then a Nigerian wouldn’t necessarily see it the same way. Even in Japan which white people fantasize about for being ethnically homogenous, there are still minority ethnic groups like the Ainu people that are overlooked.

·Anonymous A (OP) — 6 months ago, 1 minute later, 29 minutes after the original post[T] [B] #670,573

Basically, the idea of homogeneity being either good or achievable or objective as opposed to subjective is dumb.

It seems you know your world history and geography well. Most people don't realize what a huge continent Africa is but I knew about its biodiversity when I was a young student. The Ainu were among the Pacific Rim people who traded along both sides of the Pacific long before mainlanders colonized Japan.

·Anonymous F6 months ago, 1 minute later, 4 days after the original post[T] [B] #670,920

To answer your question though, I get bored looking at the board, so I thought I’d make the board a little less boring by spicing it up with something other than weird nerd stuff or porn or whatever the fuck you all post on here.

I’m a different type of nerd. I’m into computers, I’ve never really been interested in anime stuff or furry stuff or whatever. Also the porn is just annoying. It’s not even vaguely attractive, it’s all ugly ass people.

I know that you just want to let it out, but the threads I see being made are mostly coming from you, and you also often regret making them that you edit to replace your comments with a ".".

·Anonymous F6 months ago, 40 seconds later, 4 days after the original post[T] [B] #670,929

Like I’m not saying it’s the worst thing in the world or anything, but like, for example, if you eat ice cream every day, you can make up any excuse in the world or whatever, but it’s still ice cream, it’s still gonna give you diabetes.

·Anonymous F6 months ago, 1 minute later, 4 days after the original post[T] [B] #670,930

@670,928 (E)
To be honest the main reason I do that is if I accidentally say something I think is smart so I can say it IRL without it being on this stupid ass website. I’m embarrassed about this website not about what I’m saying. It’s the opposite of how you’re interpreting it.

·Anonymous E6 months ago, 2 minutes later, 4 days after the original post[T] [B] #670,931

@670,927 (F)
It might be useless, but it shows where our real attraction lies, who and what we really like. Instead of being spoon-fed by the mainstream media telling what we should be attracted to, we could always make our own porn, then that porn could also take an influence on the world, spreading it like a meme.

·Anonymous F6 months ago, 2 minutes later, 4 days after the original post[T] [B] #670,932

@previous (E)
I have a different perspective on it. I was first exposed to porn on the internet as a kid, but like, I know it’s not healthy. I don’t see the point in pretending something is that isn’t the case.

·Anonymous F6 months ago, 2 minutes later, 4 days after the original post[T] [B] #670,933

Tbh I think it’s probably bad for society. If it wasn’t forced on people all over the place on social media and on the internet and people weren’t exposed to it as kids I bet a lot fewer people would do it. Like for example, I couldn’t drink as a kid, but now that I’m old enough to, I’ve had opportunities to drink but I just decided I didn’t want to and I’m mature enough to control myself and so I don’t. "Freedom" is good and everything, but self discipline is a form of freedom. If you can’t control yourself, you’re not really free.

·Anonymous E6 months ago, 2 minutes later, 4 days after the original post[T] [B] #670,934

@670,932 (F)
I don't even know what is healthy anymore besides eating more veggies, exercising, drinking water, and getting enough sleep. You shouldn't be ashamed of yourself, as long if it doesn't harm other people. I also got exposed to fetish porn too early, but I'm not sure if I regret it. I'd rather jerk off than taking meds to feel better.

·Anonymous F6 months ago, 4 seconds later, 4 days after the original post[T] [B] #670,935

@670,933 (F)
Which is also part of why I self censor tbh. One of the values I think is really common in "western society" or "America" or whatever you want to call it, in our culture in general vaguely however you define that, is this idea that freedom for the sake of freedom is always good. I get that in society there’s this concept that people shouldn’t be hypocrites, so if you do something, you shouldn’t say it’s bad. But I always try and keep that self-critical voice in the back of my head. Because I’ve come across people who don’t have that voice, and it can lead to some pretty messed up stuff if you shut that part of you down and just start believing that everything you’re doing is really okay. Of course, I am honest with myself internally, but I am smart enough to lie.

·Anonymous F6 months ago, 2 minutes later, 4 days after the original post[T] [B] #670,936

@670,934 (E)
> I’d rather jerk off than taking meds to feel better.

See that’s the thing though, like why do you even need to feel better in the first place? What I’ve realized in general is when I’m happy I don’t have urges to do things. It’s true with food even, eating when I’m not hungry. I’ll do it when I’m stressed out about something, but eating food doesn’t solve the problem. It’s not necessarily that porn is really a true desire, it just fills the place of what you actually desire. But knowing what you actually desire for real and going after it is what makes life worth living, and replacing it with something fake just makes you waste time.

·Anonymous E6 months ago, 3 minutes later, 4 days after the original post[T] [B] #670,937

@previous (F)
I know what you mean, but even ranting about problems doesn't solve your issues, it might help you to plan things out before doing anything, only if it's guaranteed you'd take action to solve them, otherwise you'll end up with more things to complain about.

·Anonymous F6 months ago, 2 minutes later, 4 days after the original post[T] [B] #670,938

@670,936 (F)
Idk, I’m not an expert in philosophy or anything, but I’ve heard this concept before of a difference between "animalistic" desires and "higher" desires. Like there’s a difference between just feeling some primal animalistic urge to do something like feeling horny or feeling anger and having a desire to produce something that requires some sort of impressive effort. And I feel like, as a human, obviously, I have both, but I should try to force myself to lean into the desires that will actually get me somewhere. And I’m not perfect at it, but I think it’s worth it even if it involves pain sometimes.

·Anonymous F6 months ago, 2 minutes later, 4 days after the original post[T] [B] #670,939

@670,937 (E)
Yeah, it’s true. Talking doesn’t really accomplish anything by itself, and neither does thinking, unless thinking and talking leads to action. Mostly what I find frustrating are things I care about that affect me that I have no control over. Like how society perceives or values people like me based on something arbitrary. I can’t help but feel annoyed by it even if I know it’s not rational to care about things I don’t have control over. But I do feel like I have a desire to control more, not because I hate other people or I’m evil or something, but generally because the more authority you have and the higher you are in any authority hierarchy, the fewer people there are above you who can hurt you, and the more people there are beneath you who can’t hurt you with impunity.

·Anonymous E6 months ago, 18 seconds later, 4 days after the original post[T] [B] #670,940

Sometimes it's better to fill the void with something artificial, like porn over real relationships, because dealing with people can have grave consequences, you end up feeling like a nuisance.

·Anonymous F6 months ago, 3 minutes later, 4 days after the original post[T] [B] #670,941

To be honest, maybe this is bad to admit, but part of the reason I write things that are controversial is because I feel like the easiest way to make someone hate me on the internet is to just say that I’m black. And obviously it’s stupid for someone to get mad at me for something I have no control over, and I don’t like it when people don’t like me, and I don’t enjoy being angry, but the anger that it can inspire in me, actually motivates me, and what I accomplish when I feel motivated in that primal way is kinda addicting tbh.

·Anonymous F6 months ago, 1 minute later, 4 days after the original post[T] [B] #670,942

Like literally I’ve been doing it since I was in middle school. I’ll hear something that annoys me in real life or experience something that’s bullshit regarding race, I’ll complain about it and say something anonymously on the internet, and some racist will get into an argument with me, and then I’ll feel some type of anger I can channel into accomplishing something in real life, and that way I sorta vent my anger without real life consequences and I find something to motivate me.

·Anonymous F6 months ago, 1 minute later, 4 days after the original post[T] [B] #670,943

Idk what it is but for some reason I actually can think more clearly when I’m angry than when I’m not, which doesn’t sound like it makes sense, but I actually make better decisions somehow and I’m not really sure why.

Maybe because your brain is in default mode whenever you're relaxed, thus your mind wanders in the noise of nonsense, but when you're angry you can grasp the source of it more properly.
