tbh the manga/anime is still good and still holds cultural weeb significance like DBZ. the creator and his crime literally nothing to do with the work he's created.
Thats like if Martin Scorsese went on a genocidal rampage and was condemned to life in san quentin I'd still watch his films because I like em. Do I agree with their actions? who gives a fuck.

100%. I was still a Paul Reubens/Peewee fan and Woody Allen fan when they screwed up the social agreement with society. Also it's a boys club in the industries anyway - no saints in there. I'd rather they didn't screw things up but my opinion on the work is unchanged as well.

Or I think a better example that resonated with society in general was Michael Jackson. Personally not a fan, but millions still liked the guy's work even after all that nonsense.
