Topic: 4chan is unusable now
+Anonymous A — 6 months ago #67,411
15 minute wait time to post is crazy
Also the captchas go hard too
+Anonymous B — 6 months ago, 19 minutes later[T] [B] #669,812
15 minutes is nothing. Ylilauta has a 1 week wait period for /int/
+Anonymous C — 6 months ago, 15 minutes later, 35 minutes after the original post[T] [B] #669,814
if it keeps you tourists off the site then its done its job admirably
+Anonymous D — 6 months ago, 2 hours later, 2 hours after the original post[T] [B] #669,824
It was never usable in the first place. I went there once when I was 14, realized you can’t post anything without uploading an image, I didn’t feel like uploading an image, I never posted anything, I never went back, I’m 21 now.

If this site required uploading an image to post something I would stop using it. I just don’t feel like it. It’s too much effort.

@OP
Its annoying but maybe some good will come of it. Here's to hoping it drastically thins out the number of normies, moral faggots and unironic retards, that are on there.

It's more of a honey trap now than it ever was. Your posts are screened B4 you post. "Das Leben der Anderen" was a decent film and cautionary tale about how a surveillance state works but I never imagined such a thing happening to the whole world. Looks like the Soviets won the Cold war after all.

you first visited 4chan in 2018? of course it was unusable.

Yep. I'm pretty depressed about the whole situation; I like computers. I might build an offline box at some point because the privacy war is lost. Forums and boards were pretty neat and it's a shame what this has come to.

@OP
Just vertify your e-mail and it decreases the time limit.

I posted that from a tablet but this is my Linux box. I have fun testing distros without built in obsolescence and fees. It's a shame that independent thought is a rarity but they can't kill it outright. Maybe the majority will remember what it's like to be human again. Here's hoping.

That doesn’t mean anything to me. What year was I supposed to visit it in?

In my opinion it became unusable in '09-'10 when anontalk spam became 50% of the content. But if you're too lazy to post an image then you wouldn't have liked it ever.

Perhaps if Linux developers would focus on shit that actually matters, such as scaling for high DPI displays (rather than obscure shit that only nerds allergic to grass care about) then maybe Linux could become popular on the desktop once again.

If exclusivity is what you care about, go back to your IRC chats. We're out here changing the world, get with it or get out unc.

Yall are old nobody knows what IRC is. Is that some type of Unix dial up modem plain text ASCII wizardry I can fire up on my smoking fast commodore 16 bit processor?
·Anonymous L — 6 months ago, 2 minutes later, 1 day after the original post[T] [B] #670,031
When you google who invented IRC it was a Japanese dude. That’s how you know something is old: a Japanese guy invented it. In 1990, all Japanese people had a meeting with the emperor and they all unanimously decided to accept the royal degree that the Japanese people would never be creative again and never invent any new technology and they’d just sit back and let the Chinese take over the world and make it into a Marxist-Leninist socialist utopia where we all drive around in Chinese EVs and hit up Chinese girls in the red note dms with broken mandarin.

In MX-Linux you can use mx-tweak instead of modding xrandr and xorg.conf in terminal. It still gives one control without the buggy system.d babysitter. That's for Mac and win users who are used to such things.
