Topic: Beauty

Some years ago, I was at a harbor where people could go on some wooden tall ships and there just happened to be a couple military vessels there. There was some old guy who was looking at the military vessels and said to another old guy, "Isn’t she a beauty?"
I swear I’m not being an anti war liberal snowflake, but how can a human being be presented with two options in front of them: one is an old wooden sailing ship, the other is an industrial hunk of metal with a zillion satellite dishes and rotating radar whatever’s and you call the industrial nightmare "beautiful?"

Imagine standing on the deck of an aircraft carrier group as it pushes your geopolitical power straight in to the star filled horizon on a dark night, less pollution at sea.

I don’t get the "less pollution" part. Didn’t a bunch of former US service members sue the US government because the military was burning plastic at military bases in the Middle East so they didn’t have to spend money on shipping it back… even though they’ll pay $10,000 on a toilet seat?

Speaking of cancer, all those nuclear tests the United States did during the Cold War, where they had US troops there to witness the blasts for "experience" purposes… you ever wonder how many of them died from cancer later?

Obviously, whatever it is that’s bothering you, whatever the reason is you hate blacks, maybe someone raped you or something, you’re obviously never going to heal from it. If you want the world to be 90% white that’s obviously never going to happen. So what’s the point? It’s not like you’re going to get any happier by continuing to live.

That’s not even rhetorical by the way. I actually want to know wtf the reason is because I can’t think of any.

This isn’t even about fighting or anything like that. I just don’t understand why you even bother anymore. You don’t have any goals that are achievable and you’re in a perpetual state of being pissed off. You’re not even fighting for anything.
·Anonymous D — 6 months ago, 6 minutes later, 1 hour after the original post[T] [B] #669,787
Maybe the reason why you can’t stop thinking about yourself is because you need to prove yourself to yourself which is why you have to constantly try to prove your superiority to everyone, but it’s never enough because no matter what you do, you’ll always know you’re just not good at anything.

Most of them. Speaking of cancer, the imposter speaking about ordo amoris is 'hedging the issue' in his argument against God. Since he leads many astray, for his sake and theirs, love of God comes first, then love of God's children. This fulfills the Law and Prophets and illumines and informs everything else.

Given the tribal sensitivities of the day, perhaps clarification is necessary. When a scholar of the Law tried to justify himself before Jesus he asked "and who is my neighbor? (cf. Lk.10:29) The Lord responds with a parable, the Good Samaritan (Jews considered them unclean), which presents an outsider as doing the will of the Father while other Jews passed him by. The Scholar was asked who was the victim's neighbor and he replied "the one who treated him with mercy" to which Jesus replied "go and do likewise". I'm just a hermit isolated from the outside world so I can't understand why partisans and priests can't comprehend this.
