You ever notice the smarter somebody is the less they care about their freedom? I’ve never seen a highly educated person talking about defending their freedom with their guns or their right to speak or whatever. Smart people usually tend to be smart enough to know when to shut the hell up. You know why the white people say that the Chinese are smart, yet the Chinese live under authoritarianism? It’s because everybody in China is smart enough not to criticize the government because it’s not worth it.

The thing with gun nuts is, they seem to have this fantasy that their gun makes them invincible, but what they forget is the government also has guns. If you shoot first, you will not die after your first shot. If you shoot second, maybe you don’t get to shoot second. If you make your first shot, and the enemy dies, then they send another one in. If you are an average shooter (which you probably are), your odds of death after each interaction are approximately 1-0.5^n, where n is the number of people who have tried to kill you. If you do the math on that, that’s not a good mathematical function for you. Smart people don’t deal with that kind of shit. Smart people give up.

Why the hell do I have a mathematical analysis of this?

All I’m saying is, your gun might protect you, but in a gun fight against 5 other guys, there’s a 96.8% chance you’re not making it. I’m just saying!
