I have a serious question because it occurred to me after reading Kanye's cringe rant. how come despite having black millionaires and billionaire across different aspect of the entertainment industry here in the U.S never bothered to simply unite and form their own entertainment/media empire? Like how come nobody thought "hey with our massive amounts of wealth we can just create and establish our own Hollywood studio system" Hypothetically lets just say he's on to something, if kanye has an issue with the current system due to the "jews controlling everything" then whats stopping all the black people with power and wealth to simply unite and form their homogeneous social class? so rather "jews are controlling the media blah blah." Now its "The Black are controlling the media blah blah"

I’ve never watched it before, but there is something called BET which stands for "black entertainment television." On Wikipedia it says it was launched in 1980.

I think everything has been boiled down to algorithms - if you're not seeing black content it's because your personal feed robot has determined you're not black.

I was big into the stuff in the 90's with rap and comedians... I didn't have a ton of friends going into college - black dudes don't hang with squirrelly white guys. That's a reputation killer. I liked the content coming out though.

Yep. I remember that being big too. It was amusing watching them trying to find a song that was even remotely radio friendly to give awards to. They usually played it safe and went with the girl groups or Jay Z or whatever.

because its part: they're not interested in truly creating a platform that elevates their so called "people" and part: the powers at be will not allow something like to happen anyway. If you think about it rather then working together to establish something great for everyone. we got two grown men writing heated poetry about each other and calling each other niggas and pedophiles because their fragile egos cant allow it. I mean one of them is Pulitzer prize winner(which makes no sense and it honestly just cheapens the award.) and decided to go the Superbowl to play a cheap song. They talk about doing for the culture but their culture lies in self hate , self destruction, self defeatist and just glorifying their own deaths. Whether its due to nature or nurture, its hard to say but yeah that's the real reason in regards to black Americans.

Thats a great piece music because its purposefully garbage and that's what it makes it funny. I would rather that at superbowl halftime just to troll the crowd and viewers at home. The best case scenario is everyone's just laughs and nothing more comes from it.
