Topic: Failing up

I was feeling bad about it myself today for feeling inadequate. But then I was thinking about it, people often complain that rich people sort of "fail up." There’s this idea that some people manage to be completely incompetent but they keep getting new opportunities so they manage to be successful anyway. I’m not rich, and I’m still at the beginning of my adult life, but when I think about what I have accomplished each year since I was 16 or so, and I think about how I was living life and my habits compared to what I accomplished, I think I might actually be failing up somehow.

If you think about it, on paper, it does look like things are actually going pretty well for me. Well I guess not if you think about it because you don’t know me but whatever.

Glad it worked out for you at least. All my moves were lateral, every time I switched jobs or moved I couldn't get ahead. First 20 years of my working life sucked!
