I was thinking about it. Racist white people tend to like the Japanese for some reason. Or at least pretend to like them. But I was thinking about it as a black dude, I can’t imagine being Japanese. Because if you think about it, being black in America sucks. But like, there’s a whole world out there, a lot of places speak English, and a lot of countries have people who look the same as me, so when I go to Europe, nobody has any idea where the fuck I’m even from. They’ll think I’m some Mexican Muslim French African Australian Indian from outer space. They’ll have no idea. So I can kinda get by. But then a Japanese person though, one country speaks Japanese. So if you want to go anywhere else, you have to study. That’s already more work. And then the accent, if you speak Japanese, even if you learn another language, everybody’s going to know you’re Japanese. There won’t be the thing I had where when I opened my mouth people thought I was Australian. They can’t hide behind accent ambiguity. So that would be a different reality. Probably I would be less inclined to leave my country if those things were the case. But they’re not the case. So in a way, I have more freedom if you think about it. Then America recognizes dual citizenship so in theory I could buy some passports from some sketchy countries and go hoping around wherever and not tell anybody I’m American and probably get away with it. Hmm… I think being black has its advantages over being other races as long as you fuck off from where you originally came from. America ain’t it. Probably just floating around Europe somewhere is the best way to exist as a black man in the modern world.

Idk how I feel about the British though. Leaving the European Union, I mean, I kinda like the open borders. I don’t wanna stay in one place that’s super boring. Genghis Kahn and his tribe, they had a good lifestyle.

And really Europe is one of those places on this planet where the ability to "float around" is greater than in most. You really can just sorta float around there if you’re really feeling it. "Eh, one country today, one country tomorrow, it’s just a train ride, no passport required, whatever!"

America is a big place but you can’t really "float around" here. It’s big but half of it’s a desert and the other half is corn fields. Coast to coast isn’t a floaty sorta thing. I’m just making up phrases now.

Also tbh the US is kinda too big. I’m not gonna lose sleep over the prospect of dying without ever visiting Arizona or Nebraska or whatever.

I need to make enough money to retire and stop living in real life and become one of these country hopping passport weirdos on a laptop who’s always in a cafe for some reason. I don’t even like coffee. But it’s worth it for the lifestyle.

It’s like not billionaire level success, but it’s the level of success that wild animals have living in nature just hanging out wherever they feel like. Laptop culture is closer to nature than anything else under capitalism.

Really, there are two types of nation hopping people: broke socialists and rich people. Just because you’re broke doesn’t mean you have to live in one country. Read some extremist ideology, join some Marxist organization, do some drugs, move to a dictatorship, earn a little money, then get yourself to a normal country. Being poor isn’t an excuse!

If you go back far enough, everybody came from Africa, so I guess all Americans are either African American or in denial about it.
