Topic: Crazy thought I had

+Anonymous A9 months ago #67,177

So I’ve had this thought before. If you’re a man, and you have sex with a woman, she might get pregnant and then not tell you, and then she might get an abortion and then not tell you. And if God exists and abortion really is murder than that means that as a man, you’d be held responsible for the death of your own child in the afterlife. But now, if you’re a man, and you have sex with men, that can’t happen, so the worst thing God is gonna say to you is you had sex without the intention of having kids and that’s selfish because you had fallen to the temptation of the devil and lust and all that. But most straight guys do that anyway since they masturbate and look at porn. So being gay might actually be a safer route.

Also I’m not gay I just think about stuff like this because of death anxiety.

…has anybody else ever thought about that or is it just me?

And really I was thinking about it, abortion might be murder or it might not be murder. But it doesn’t matter if it is murder or it isn’t murder because I’m only going to get punished for the stuff that I did. If somebody else goes and shoots up a school, that’s not my fault. I don’t have to worry about how I’m going to stop other people from being evil. I’m not saying I want to take women’s rights away or anything. What women who I haven’t had sex with do with their bodies, whether that be abortion, shooting up a school, blowing themselves up at an airport, whatever, that ain’t my problem, it’s really not. If you’re a good person when you die you go to heaven anyway, so you shouldn’t fear death. It would be stupid for me to be afraid of people who commit murder because if I haven’t murdered anyone and I get murdered then I’m just going to heaven. No, what I’m saying, is what if somebody decided just to skirt around the whole abortion problem to begin with and just have sex with males? Not in like a gay way or anything like that, but more of a, uh… let’s call it strategic homosexuality.

But the other problem is suicide because suicide is self killing and the Bible says thou shall not kill. So if you kill yourself that might make you a murderer. So if somebody comes at you, and you don’t want to suffer, but you can’t win that fight, you can’t kill yourself, but you need to think of some type of way to make it easier for them to kill you. You know what I mean? Like if someone comes at you with a knife it might be good to have a gun on you so you can be like, "Here, just shoot me."

you can't be responsible for a murder if you did not take any action that led directly to the murder and didn't even know there was a person to be murdered
Above all, God is just.

The key for you is - IF GOD Exists.
Alas God of course is a Fairy Tail.

Nobody will ever die and find out God doesn’t exist.

It just amazes me to read about other peoples versions of the creator and planets creation. For instance.

The Chumash Indians believed in a cosmology with multiple worlds, including an upper world, a middle world where humans lived, and a lower world, with shamans playing a key role in interacting with the spirit world; they considered all things to be somewhat alive and sacred, with a primary deity sometimes referred to as "Sup" or "Achup" and revered specific sacred places for prayer and offerings.

Good thing atheists are sane people who only believe in one world. There are no other worlds up there in the sky all spinning around.

Or string theorists making up 11 dimensions to explain the universe with no experimental evidence to back it up because they wrote a bunch of math to make sense of things they don’t understand instead of writing a book to make sense of things they don’t understand but they think it’s special or different somehow.

Or quantum physicists saying that quantum effects are random and determined by nothing and proposing it as a potential solution to the problem of consciousness even though it’s not mathematically possible to determine if a sequence of numbers is actually random, only that it has a uniform statistical spread. Statistical randomness doesn’t imply indeterminacy, but yet they claim that it’s a fact that it does, even though, it’s literally not possible to prove that.

(Same person as E)

Really the point is, I don’t think humans today are any different than they were a thousand years ago. People just have ego problems that make them want to act confident they know the answer to everything, then a couple generations later the new generation thinks the old generation was stupid and wrong about everything, and then it repeats itself over and over again because human nature doesn’t change. Really, there is probably a lot of stuff most people accept as fact that a hundred years from now will have dozens of asterisks attached to it. People in the past who were thinking about reality and asking questions who came up with religious stories weren’t any less evolved or dumber than we are. And not all of their ideas are invalid.
