As one of those anti-woke bozos, I can say the consensus was probably the bigger picture was the problem with Marvel and parent Disney properties doing a belly flop into the shallowest, wokest pool they could find. That was clumsy and obvious what happened. The Star Wars/Lucasfilm property wasn't nearly as bad like you said. There was a loud vocal minority on that though.

You know, most anti-anti-woke critic I see in the internet consists of making a strawman and attaching the dumbest parts of the movement to it.
It's obvious that media has been woke for a long time. Most people recognise this. But there's a difference between a piece of media being woke and a piece of media made to be woke. A piece of media that has progressive social commentary can still be appreciated by conservatives and reactionaries; they might either not even notice the message in it, or ignore it. However, a piece of media that is made to be woke is a different matter. These don't try to have any value outside of virtue signalling and thus are rightfully panned by conservative critics.
