Topic: Is there going to be an election in four years time?

+Anonymous A9 months ago #67,073

For whatever reason, it feels like Trump will be the last elected leader to the White House in the United States of America. I know we’ve had other presidents who served more than three terms. Franklin D. Roosevelt being that prominent example. But we knew after his bullying that we had to impose term limits for presidents which is what led to the creation of the ratification of the 22nd amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

I just have this feeling that Trump is going to try to circumnavigate this and install themselves as the permanent president or president for life. Please tell me there will be an election between two entirely different candidates in 2028. Candidates who aren’t Donald Trump, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, or Hillary Clinton.

Trump won't be able to change the term limits.

His cronies are already working on it.

The U.S. government is already a mess that there is likely some legal loophole that could justify it. If a freaking judge could block a federal decision then there are most certainly ways around it. A judge blocked the transfer of a trans woman inmate from being housed in a men’s facility after an order from the federal court.

Of course there will be. Not even Trump voters would accept him trying to change the rules of the game. Americans treat democracy as their religion, it's never going away.

Americans also thought Trump wasn’t going to get elected in 2016, but look how that went down.

Plus there are a lot of uneducated MAGA niggers who are easy to manipulate for potential gain.

No, half of (voting) Americans thought that. The other half did think he would be elected as they voted for him.

I don’t like Trump either, but why would you call Trump voters the n word? Most black people didn’t vote for Trump. 78% of black men and 92% of black women voted for Kamala Harris. The only reason articles were saying blacks voted in "record numbers" for Trump, is because less than 80% of black men voting for Harris was shocking because black Americans are that strongly democrat.

Although, it’s crazy though because people only use that kind of logic for black people. If Ireland is 80% percent Catholic, nobody says, "Shocking levels of Protestant support in the Republic of Ireland!" Or if 80% of Japanese people support the death penalty nobody says, "Shocking levels of Japanese people opposed to capital punishment!"

Or if Putin won 80% of the vote in Russia, nobody would ever say, "Russian dictator has shockingly low approval rating!"

You know, fun fact: the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress in China… only 66% of the seats belong to the CCP. 80% of people supporting anything is literally beyond communist dictatorship levels of support. How tf can you blame black people for Trump!

·Anonymous E9 months ago, 4 minutes later, 2 hours after the original post[T] [B] #666,975

@previous (E)
Or in the National People's Congress in China, out of 2,977 seats in the world’s largest authoritarian communist dictatorship, only 86% of the seats are controlled by the CCP. Yet 92% of black women in an actual election voted for the same person. If black women controlled America, it would be more politically homogenous than actually China IRL. It’s crazy, but people still want to blame blacks for everything!

Because Trump supporters have been racist enough and it’s time for them to be on the receiving end of the slur, pussy.

I’m planning on leaving the US and I’m young enough I’ll outlive pretty much all of the current political leaders all over the world, but it’s still kinda embarrassing and pathetic to watch it all go down.

Too what country?

·Anonymous F9 months ago, 1 minute later, 2 hours after the original post[T] [B] #666,986

I did the math, Trump, Biden, Xi Jinping, and Putin are all going to be dead by the time I’m 40. So whatever happens, if there’s some war or something, I don’t plan on investing my life on any of that nonsense. (Not saying there will be, but look at Eastern Europe.)

The poor man was already mad and now his dementia is advancing (inherited Alzheimer's), he has lolcows advising him who aren't qualified and their inflationary policies are doomed to fail. After signing the Constitution, Ben Franklin was asked by a woman on the steps "well doctor what have we got a republic or a monarchy" to which he replied "a republic, if you can keep it." The system of checks and balances is supposed to protect the Constitution and the petition clause of the 1st amendment is key to remedy error, but until balance is restored through the Judiciary and Legislative branches it just seems like we live under tyranny. It won't last.

I own property there. Expats are expected to be married OR end up having dads with unmarried daughters pushing them at you daily.
