You ever wonder why we have to pay for water? Isn’t 70% of the Earth’s surface water? Have we taken capitalism too far?

@OPenis 70 percent of our body is also water as well. And I agree it's ridiculous.

Or what about property taxes, what’s up with that? I really need to pay my property tax or Russia will take over my state? Is that how it works? You’re sure about that?

Who am I kidding? I don’t own land. Yet the government could in theory issue an executive order to bring the draft back and force me to die for the land that I actually don’t own… hmm…

Living in cities is better for the environment anyway. It would be better to live in a society where nobody owns land and there’s forced urbanization to reduce the total land area that’s inhabited by humans in order to preserve the environment, promote economic development, and reduce travel times, thereby also reducing net carbon emissions. But every libertarian would call me a commie for that or something.

Like the idea that everyone can have their own house, or the idea that everyone should have their own house with their own yard, that’s not sustainable really.

I'm still waiting for those vertical cities they promised us. It'd be way more efficient to go dense.
