My whole life I always had short hair. Then during the pandemic I let my hair grow long. I’ve realized that the barbershop is not an inherently enjoyable experience. I don’t enjoy the feeling of somebody feeling around on my head while wondering what to do with my eyes as I stare into a mirror image of myself just for them to not exactly get it the way I told them to. What’s the point of having short hair anyway? I get that it’s supposed to be more masculine or whatever, but at some point it just feels kinda like a chore having to get it trimmed so often to keep it that short. Isn’t it just wasting money? Nobody ever even complimented my hair until I started letting it grow out them I started getting compliments from women. And it’s like, well if people compliment me for doing less then what’s the point of doing more anyway! Who came up with this idea that men should work themselves to death to be a provider for some stay at home wife and that’s the masculine ideal? Why not just chill? You know? I’m still a dude, I’m just not gonna stress out about stuff that I don’t need to stress out about. Live a stress free life. If you have problems that don’t matter, you don’t have problems. The easiest way to solve a problem is simply to pretend it doesn’t exist.

I only cut my hair when it stings my eyes or blocks my view.

I haven't gotten a haircut since '89 and the chicks always liked it. I didn't like the times they pulled some of it out, but braiding mine with theirs was okay and the lesbians I knew used to like to braid it for me. Now I forget what I look like most of the time. I'm just glad I finally got my transmission filter changed and torqued the bolts properly without destroying anything. Now I'm sore. Oh yeah

I don't cut my hair because of my fear of going bald.
