One of the most interesting racial dynamics which exists on the internet is pretty much perfectly exemplified by this Reddit thread I randomly came across.
https://www.reddit.com/r/TooAfraidToAsk/comments/v8knud/why_are_only_rich_white_countries_blamed_for/?rdt=49585
Some white people don’t like it that people who aren’t white call white people racist because it makes them feel guilty. So then as an emotional reaction to that, they call Asians racist and say that Asians are more racist than white people. But then Asian people who aren’t racist agree with the white people that Asians are racist because they want to be socially progressive and stand up to racism by calling out their own race. But then, you look through the thread, and there is only like one comment from a black person, even though everybody’s talking about Asians being more racist to black people than whites are or saying that blacks are racist to Asians than whites are. BUT NONE OF THEM ARE BLACK THOUGH! It’s like everybody wants to score good boy points for being less racist against blacks than the other guy.

Idk why I said "good boy points" it makes me sound like I’m calling them dogs or something.

It’s a complicated thing to try and explain, but I feel like there’s so much irony in white people calling Asians more racist than they are because they don’t want to take responsibility for whites being racist against blacks while at the same time Asians are agreeing with them that their own race is racist because they don’t want to be racist. Like that’s a really ironic dynamic.

Tbh though fighting over which race is more racist is kinda dumb. Individuals are racist, one collective can be more racist overall than another collective, but on an individual level, that’s meaningless. If you’re talking about whether the British Empire or the Japanese Empire were racist governments, whether or not an individual British person or an individual Japanese person is racist or not is irrelevant and if you’re talking about whether a Japanese person or a British person is racist, whether the British Empire or Japanese Empire was more racist is irrelevant. It’s not like you win anything as an individual by being a part of a "less racist race."

I see your point of taking credit for not doing something. I think that was a Chris Rock joke back in the day.
