I was syncing stuff from my phone back to my computer and my playlist got reset. I wanted to go through the entire thing once before I added any new songs and I was almost 2/3 of the way through but now it's gone and I'd have to start over again. Going through the entire thing from 0 again would probably take me until April.

Well, as much as I hate it, the answer might be "algorithm." How do you feel about Spotify subscriptions?

Personally I just buy albums in MP3 and listen straight through, or whip up a quick playlist on the fly. I don't listen for more than 45 minutes at a time.

Nah, no algorithm bullshit, it's a strictly offline phone with no cell service.
It's just I wanted to listen to everything once before I went through with maybe removing some stuff, but it's already been 5 months since my last update.

Maybe I should explain: when I say playlist I just mean I hit shuffle all files.

FUCK! It happened again and I didn't even mess with anything!
I unplugged my headphones to stop playback when I left work and then when I went to start playback again later at home it was cleared! The only thing I did on the phone between then was open the camera app from the lock screen and then close it again.

fuckin hate libraryshit itunes copycats. fucking deleted seven gigs of music that i just got done renaming while trying to organise the incoherent nonsense on VLC android app.

Why are people still bumping this?

Anyway it got reset one more time because of a finger slip, but that was a while ago. I'm up to 2220 now.
Also I figured out how to not clear the playlist when syncing back to the computer. If you close Pulsar first and then shut the phone off, it'll remount the SD card automatically upon booting again and once that's done you can open Pulsar and it won't think it has to regenerate the entire library, it'll just passively scan for new files.

That's why I sync back to my computer. It's no skin off my back if someone obtains a copy of my library because I lost my phone. I'd be kinda bummed about the phone though since the battery is still in fairly decent shape despite its age. Plus I bought a spare for it too.

Not gonna start over this time though, I only had like 300 songs left to go and was planning to update it this weekend. I will be removing some stuff again though, so depending on how much new stuff I have, maybe I'll still be able to finagle that 6969 count a little bit longer.

It's kinda nice when the network is dead so you can just turn on airplance mode permanently and battery usage drops significantly
