Im in junior year now working to get my b.s (had finished getting my a.s). Something I often noticed when someone in their 20's comes up to me to strike a conversation is that whenever we start start talking and its getting interesting perhaps leading to a possible friendship they somehow like clockwork end up asking about my age and whenever I tell them the truth its like I get the same reaction "oh wow! you have really good genes" or "bro you dont look like you're xx years old". We share a good laugh but then afterwards theres no follow up other than the obligatory exchanges nods of acknowledging the other's presence. I always found that a bit weird and it used to bother me but I coped and moved on. I just take it as the current gen in their 20's tend to be hypersensitive to the "vibes", "wavelengths" or "auras" of those that they talk to and just see me as a "cringe, cooked old man" even im literally not far from their age group.

I didn't think much of it but I was a tick older when I went back. The year after I graduated I went back to visit the old crew that were still on year 3 or 4, and one of the (I assume) freshman called campus security about a "strange old guy" in the parking lot. I was 25, and getting my shit together from the 3 hour drive... 19 year olds are hardly adults anymore - they can't handle life without pool waders on.
