Topic: Are there any low-complexity noise-cancelling apps for android?
+Anonymous A — 10 months ago #66,491
I don't need that fancy AI-powered stuff that removes your kid from your zoom call and probably sucks tons of battery, just something simple that samples and inverts the continuous machine noise at work through the phone mic and combines it with the audio output of my music app so I don't need to turn the volume up so loud. Surely something like this must have existed before the pandemic, right?

That's done on the headphones, not on your phone. Find a device with ANC.

@previous (B)
I don't want a separate device with a separate set of batteries that can die without warning and leave me high and dry mid-shift. Is this really such a foreign concept?

Before the pandemic? Maybe, but I don't remember. I just turn the lights off and turn on a few green or blue LED lights at my face for the 'hacker' look. The bosses usually let it slide lol.
On audio, doesn't Apple make those noise cancelling headphones? That might be the way to go.
