I am currently temporarily taking medication for a cough and phlegm. I have to abstain from alcohol if I attend a part this upcoming holiday. My mom says that if I drink I will die, eve if it’s only 1 sip.

This party will have alcohol, such as soju and sparkling wine. I am normally allowed to enjoy those during gatherings, but due to me temporarily taking medication I have to abstain from them this one time. I will get triggered if I see my cousins and relatives enjoying them. There is no separate room for me to retreat to if I get triggered. Also I am not allowed to ask relatives to abstain from alcohol with me to support me during this time.

Any tips on how to help me navigate this???
