Topic: Personalities

So I’m not trans but I find it kinda interesting how trans people know they feel like a certain gender. Because I was thinking about it, as a man, whenever I observe women, generally we think of all women in general as having "feminine" characteristics to their personalities, but at least time me, individual personality traits feel like they’re so much stronger if you really think about it, it’s hard to define what "feminine" even is. I mean, for example, people might say, "women are less assertive than men." Is that true on a statistical level, at a society level on average? Maybe, idk. But I can think of women off the top of my head who are close to me who are more assertive and direct than I am. So then I kinda think… well what does it mean exactly? Like what even is "feminine" or "masculine" in terms of personalities? We think of femininity as soft and masculinity as harsh, but I’ve known a lot of women who are more harsh than I am and I’ve known men who are more soft than I am. So it’s actually kinda confusing to think about. I sorta question if gender and personality are even connected at all. Because like (not trans don’t get it twisted), there are some ideals of masculinity I don’t really think my personality really matches. Like I’m not the macho type of person or anything. But not being "macho" doesn’t inherently mean you have any feminine traits it just means you’re not an over the top douchebag. Maybe "alpha" is a better word… like I’m not saying I’m beta I’m just saying, some men on the internet call THEMSELVES alphas, and that’s usually just a sign somebody is an idiotic douchebag who thinks way too highly of themselves. The kinda guy who looks in a mirror and is like, "Ooh yes I am sexy!" Like guys who are lowkey gay for themselves. Like that kinda weirdness. I’m not that. Like the kinda guy that will tell you how many women he’s had sex with but he was probably looking in the mirror at himself flexing instead of at her because he goes limp looking at a woman. I ain’t macho. I ain’t that.

Tbh I find "alpha" guys weird. Like guys who tell you how many women they’re sleeping with to try and impress other guys. It’s like, they really make it seem like they believe that the main objective in having a girlfriend is impressing other men by having a girlfriend. It’s like, dude, you have a girlfriend, go have fun with her, why do you feel the need to tell me? Do you want me to get jealous because you want me to want to fuck you or something? Like if you explicitly bring up sex as a man around other men constantly you kinda start to wonder, "Wait, what’s up with this dude?" It’s almost like they’re trying to prove to themselves how not gay they are and showing it off to everybody else. And then what’s even more embarrassing is that there’s no difference between these guys and incels. These guys are just successful incels but they’re still equally as suffering. You see, I’m different though, I’m not like them. You might think, "Well hold on a minute, you’ve just expressed prejudice against men who want women who can’t get it and men who want women who can’t get it so who’s left?" Well someone is left and it’s me because I don’t even desire sex with women because I’m not gay like they are.

For sure, being louder or having a bigger truck or whatever seems to carry weight in society at the moment, like it's normal (or women assume they can be shaped into allowing women to watch football with them sometimes, or they might change a diaper or cook a meal occasionally in a relationship if they plead enough). Pretty bunk. Gonna agree there. Screw those guys.

And I guess we've all got our own deal. I guess I'd fall into 'beta male' camp - whatever, I'm happy. More time for family and friends since I'm not showboating or clawing for promotions at work. Gotta like (or at least tolerate) what husk we're in because we'll be there for 80 years or so.

Iirc, the first time I saw the term 'alpha' in common usage the internet was somewhere around 2013 among PUAs like rooshv when the freemasons were creating the manosphere™. Before that I knew it as a term for the wolf pair that mate while the rest of pack hunt and I guess other species like hyenas, but never was it applied to humans. Lions are the same.

What I'm trying to say is there's no such thing as a beta among humans.
Alpha is the first letter of the Greek alphabet and applied in scientific context,
but marketing humans in such a way is to lift one group up in order to lower the 'other'.
It is dual-purpose marketing and dehumanization. Just be you.

All of this is just nonsensical schizo drivel, you've been on the internet for too long.

Those who participate in the gender culture wars are nuts, nothing good comes out of it. But at least the stereotypes have been further dissented.

Yes, this is something that I've always found to be fascinating. They fear of being seen as weak or being part of the LGBT crazies, but trying to show it off ironically makes them look more vulnerable.
