Topic: Economics and politics

I’m tired of reading shit on the internet from idiots who have political opinions based on economics while having zero understanding of economics. This is just one instance, but a particularly stupid incident, was one time I was just talking to some random person on an anon chat site. I mentioned to some guy that I was part Irish. So this guy started joking and being like, "Ireland is so poor lol they don’t even manufacture anything like Japan." The thing is right, I can see how someone who isn’t very smart could think that Japanese people are richer than Irish people. Japan has a much larger economy than Ireland does… because Japan has a much higher population than Ireland does. It’s comparing a country with 124 million people to a country with only 5 million people. But if you look at actual GDP per capita, Ireland is over 100K USD and Japan is only like 30K USD. If you’re comparing two countries, Ireland and Japan, and Japan has a population that’s about 25 times larger than Ireland, but Japan only has an economy that’s 7 times larger than the Irish economy despite their population being 25 times larger, you shouldn’t think that Japanese people are richer than Irish people. It’s just amazing how some people have no concept of how math works. And then they base their prejudices off of not understanding how math works. TBH idk if that guy was Japanese or not, but if he was definitely breaking some stereotypes there. Ngl that was months ago, but I still find it just insane that somebody could be THAT stupid. Like how tf are you gonna make fun of a developed country that has a higher GDP per capita than the United States (even if you look at GDP per capita PPP), by citing an example of a country with a GDP per capita that’s like 3 times lower than Ireland? These smooth brained people!

It’s also just funny because of how dumb it is though. Like you hate the white people who DIDN’T colonize anybody? That’s who you’re mad at? Lol

Or I was talking to one Russian guy who said something like, "No, Russia is rich you have to look at GDP per capita PPP." But the thing is, when you do that, Russia isn’t a rich country either way. People just say stuff.

Or then people will say stuff like, "Oh wow Ukraine, when they win this war they’re going to be an economic powerhouse just look at what happened with Japan after their war." And people will say stuff about immigration, like "Oh Nigerian immigrants are bad but Ukrainian women are good because there’s a war in their country." Like this whole thing of Ukrainian women leaving Ukraine so that they can return and have children. Ukrainian women… if you look up Ukraine’s birth rate, if you look at population pyramids. I’m not even anti Ukraine, I’m just saying the truth, in the future, there isn’t gonna be a Ukraine. It doesn’t matter if they win the war or they lose the war. They have horrible age demographics. Somehow they’re worse than Russia which is impressive. Like this idea that the men bravely fighting and then the women being protected so the women can make babies… the women aren’t gonna make any damn babies. I’ll tell you that right now. They ain’t making no babies. Lol

Like straight up: Nigeria has a larger economy than Ukraine. Idk how many people know that, but it’s pretty funny. People have got no clue how poor Ukraine is.

The thing that annoys me the most is when people use "culture" as an argument. That rich countries are rich because of their "culture." China used to be poorer than Africa. Are Chinese people not Chinese anymore? That’s not how it works. Economies change, cultures don’t. More than people think can be determined purely by how many babies women are making. The European colonization of Africa for example. In 1960, Nigeria used to have a population that was smaller than the United Kingdom. So how did the British colonize Nigeria? Now they have a population that’s more than double the population of the UK. Like people just don’t fucking get it.

Honestly this is one of the reasons I hate alt right people. It’s not even about them being racist it’s just how stupid they are pisses me off. Alt right people act like Africans are invading Europe intentionally. But the thing is right, Europeans didn’t colonize Africa because Europeans have "higher IQs" or "better cultures" Europeans were able to successfully colonize Africa because in the past, there were more Europeans than Africans. Now there are more Africans than Europeans. Europeans aren’t making babies. Africans aren’t scheming to invade Europe and replace white people. White people just aren’t having children anymore, while black people are still having loads of children. They’re not invading western countries. Changes in population are exponential, not linear. In the coming century, it’s only going to get worse not better. There is no policy the west can come up with that will change this fact.

Maybe the zero understanding of economics is because of ignorance of history. Ukraine used to be called the breadbasket of Europe, but Europe as it is came about largely because of the Roman Empire who built much of the early infrastructure of what is considered western civ. Hibernia and northern Britannia, as the Romans named them, proved too savage for the Romans to conquer so the Scots and Irish were later targeted for elimination after Angle-land became dominant and the language that developed was largely based on German while retaining the Latin and French aristocratic influence with Gauslish pretty much erased. Odd when you consider the Romans were shaped by the Greeks and Etruscans, but the quest for power breeds corruption. As it relates to economics, a shell game is played by the ruling class which exploits the masses by presenting political and economic theories as practical absolutes. The Silk Road that grew the three continents by means of trade and the armadas that fished the sea all became a means of war and oppression. Then the 'royal trading companies' raped the world to form it to their liking and created a protection racket that exists to this day. The forced relocation of peoples is always planned in advance. The only winning move is to not play the game.
