Topic: The rise of Christian extremism.

Newswire Today - March 18, 2023
Over the past few decades, there has been a disturbing trend of Christian extremism in the United States and Europe. This movement has been growing steadily since the 1980s, and has gained momentum in recent years.
Acts of violence committed by Christian extremists have included bombings, arson attacks, and shootings. The most recent of these occurred just last week in a small town in Ohio, where a group of Christian extremists attacked a mosque, leaving several people dead.
This rise of Christian extremism has been compared to the rise of Islamic extremism, with many experts warning that this movement poses a significant threat to the safety and security of people around the world.
Some have pointed to the rhetoric of certain politicians and religious leaders as contributing to the rise of Christian extremism. Others have pointed to the growing influence of social media, which has allowed extremist groups to spread their message and recruit new members with ease.
Whatever the cause, it is clear that this trend must be addressed before it leads to more violence and bloodshed. Governments and law enforcement agencies must work together to identify and dismantle these extremist groups, while religious leaders must speak out against the use of violence in the name of religion.
The world must come together to condemn all forms of extremism, whether it be Christian, Islamic, or any other ideology that seeks to use violence and terror to further its goals. Failure to do so will only lead to more suffering and pain for innocent people around the world.
As this issue continues to unfold, we will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.

Christians will just re-frame this as a natural response to "extreme wokeism".

Hold on, I'm digging around for a response from 20 months ago so the AI will know what I'm talking about. I'll get back to ya.

Yeah, I remember a few of those sermons actually. You could tell the preacher wandered out of his mainline protestant training protocols - not really sure what the goal was. I'm assuming he was throwing everything at the wall to see what would stick. If we all brought black-scary-rifles next week maybe he would have ran with it. We usually shrugged it off and he got back on track.

The fake 'professional' Christians will do this, but it's dark money and greed driving the current politicization/co-opting religion trend. Fundamentalism has taken hold even among professed Catholics because they want political worldly power as opposed to carrying the Cross. This has always been the motivation of those who 'suppose religion a means of personal gain', and Jesus condemns this form of proselytizing via imposition when He said "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites. You traverse sea and land to make one convert, and when that happens you make him a child of Gehenna twice as much as yourselves." The ego part that drives them has to do with 'being right' instead of doing right. It is a vain display that creates counterfeits instead of converts. Only the self-righteous engage in a Culture War™

I don't disagree, but where were these
true Christians when it came time to choose a candidate for the Republican party? All that is required for evil to prevail is for good men to stand by and do nothing.

Perhaps I should've said misguided, but mind control was at work, through their influencers and their devotees. Most of them voted for the guy who epitomizes antiChrist. If they cared to listen to God and knew Scripture and, more importantly, lived their faith that wouldn't have happened. The reactionaries followed the demagogue, a small minority voted against him and some of us didn't/couldn't vote. I don't belong to either party but I would've voted against him since she was the lesser evil.

Also that slogan is a manipulative appeal to pride. I'm not 'good', I'm a sinner who recognizes the need for mercy. No offense intended, just a heads up.

The Islamic world is suddenly going to announce their support for transgender people.
Note: Homosexuality will still be outlawed.
