Topic: Is it possible to create a telegram account without a number?

+Anonymous A1.1 year ago #66,252

Is there at least 1 temporary number site that works?

+Anonymous B1.1 year ago, 50 minutes later[T] [B] #660,838

Temporary phone #s on websites never work, but in my experience all the demo phones at retail stores work fine.

I don't need demo phones, I need temporary number sites dammit. There's no way at least one doesn't wodk

·Anonymous A (OP) — 1.1 year ago, 32 minutes later, 2 hours after the original post[T] [B] #660,845

Also how the fuck I find groups on telegram

+Anonymous C1.1 year ago, 4 hours later, 7 hours after the original post[T] [B] #660,865

There's no reason for using Telegram except if you're a political extremist or you want to talk to Russians. Or maybe even something worse.
What kind of group do you want to find? This looks very suspicious.

Still some legitimate use, there are days I don't really want advertisers and governments snooping through my mail. It caused me to go down that rabbit hole too (Monero, onion sites, protonmail etc). I love communication, sharing ideas is the best part of the internet age! I just hate what it's become.

·Anonymous C1.1 year ago, 9 minutes later, 14 hours after the original post[T] [B] #660,884

@previous (Chuffed !3qyf8DDj3w)
Telegram is even less secure than most other options if you don't turn P2P encryption on. And even then, you have to be very naive to believe that they don't let all sorts of governments to snoop your stuff.
Privacy is a lost cause, the only possible legitimate use case for Telegram is if you have Russian/Central Asian friends there.

The Google phone number seems a good alternative - You could also spend a few bucks for a one month new phone number account - You only need to use it just one time -

What the fuck is Telegram?

+Anonymous K1.1 year ago, 35 minutes later, 4 days after the original post[T] [B] #661,133

Western Union stopped sending telegrams on January 27, 2006, and the service was taken over by International Telegram. International Telegram is still delivering telegrams today, and their website says that 17 million telegrams are delivered each year.

Western Union stopped delivering in 2006? Not earlier?

AT&T were diverting resources b4 another bubble burst since the artificial economy created post nine eleven was dependent on illusion, so rebranding and outsourcing services until discontinuing them outright, like NNTP servers from feigned government threats, was necessary to maintain the illusion of freedom so the masses would become dependent on the technocratic overseers. Now it is all based on deception and illusion. The entire show.

AT&T recently attempted to discontinue land lines.
Failed

·Anonymous E1.1 year ago, 39 minutes later, 5 days after the original post[T] [B] #661,171

@previous (G)
Instead of trying to reclaim copper from existing infrastructure they should try offering POTS lines at reasonable prices as a backup service for emergency use. At least those who can afford it still have that option.

·Anonymous G1.1 year ago, 6 minutes later, 5 days after the original post[T] [B] #661,172

@previous (E)
As a former consultant to that company - I cannot even imagine anyone at that company considers reclaiming copper.

·Anonymous E1.1 year ago, 4 minutes later, 5 days after the original post[T] [B] #661,173

@previous (G)
Huh, I thought they'd get a kickback from regional contractors that would do it. It still runs to most houses around here and if it was discontinued I doubt the copper would just sit there, but what do I know?

+Anonymous L1.1 year ago, 4 minutes later, 5 days after the original post[T] [B] #661,175

@661,172 (G)
I imagine the costs to pull $0.37 of copper off of every house isn't worth it for a corporation. Let the tweakers have at it (scratch that, they'll cut fiber lines too. Meth lol).

·Anonymous G1.1 year ago, 2 minutes later, 5 days after the original post[T] [B] #661,177

@previous (L)
No big chunks of copper to recover - Labor cost of pulling out the thin lines is out of the question.
Those fiber lines are of no value.

·Anonymous E1.1 year ago, 4 minutes later, 5 days after the original post[T] [B] #661,178

@661,175 (L)
I have more than a hundred pounds of copper hanging over my property, drooping and touching my shingles. I'm sure can take it down and sell it for more than a few cents. The spools in my garage are for home electrical wiring, I might sell those, too.

·Anonymous F1.1 year ago, 8 hours later, 6 days after the original post[T] [B] #661,190

@661,171 (E)
Our utility upgraded to fiber-optic so now we get higher internet speeds, but it also switched our landline to fiber which basically renders it useless in any actual emergency because it runs on a backup battery which is good for about 3 hours.

+Anonymous M1.1 year ago, 4 hours later, 6 days after the original post[T] [B] #661,193

fuck telegram don't go on that piece of shit
