What kind of cooking fat do you use when pan frying?
I was making some hashbrowns and since I know they are gonna stick, I've used a non-stick "ceramic" pan. And I have used butter as a cooking fat in this case (because I ran out of sunflower/canola oil), and I was really surprised how effortlessly it did slide around in there, which sort of amazed me.
Then I have tried using cast-iron skillet to cook hashbrowns, which is you know, isn't as non-stick as proper non-stick pan... Used butter, and.... It didn't stick what so ever.
Now I want to test the same thing but with stainless (aka stick king), but unfortunately my stainless pan doesn't work with induction cooktop and I can't be bothered to clean the gas stove and reconnect it to gas, so I am not gonna test that.

Sorry for your loss.
A few of us had the pleasure of viewing duckys breasts on video a few years ago.
ducky lost her virginity to a TC user.
Enjoy your virginity.

Same - it does affect flavor on some foods but the health benefits over grease shouldn't be ignored.

What if extra-virgin has better health benefits and less flavor?
Why does good health have to cost more?

Depends on what I'm cooking but I like to stick with tallow or olive oil and cook with a carbon steel pan.
