I think that's how their taste palate are wired. For them maybe certain seasonings are too overwhelming for their taste. In a way they remind of japanese food. Certain japanese cuisine have subtle, umami flavors. Its faint and not overwhelming so its easier on the taste buds and as well as the stomach. however I dont know for sure as im just spectating.(neither brit or asian)

It's because throughout the years, the English refused to use the spices they obtained from conquest that they evolved to have inferior stomachs. The in-breeding also didn't help them out either with a variety of different health deficits. In other words, the English stomach is inferior to any other person's on the planet.
