So, here I am, pouring my heart out on the INTERNET, minding my own business, just VENTING about how my mom doesn’t refill the peanut butter jar on time, and BOOM! She walks in, throws down a 2-point REPRIMAND like she’s a Disney coordinator who just caught me checking my phone at Tower Alpha. Seriously, NO WARNING, no shop steward to defend my case, NOTHING. I didn’t even get a CHANCE to explain how this is a CLEAR misunderstanding.
Look, I know the rules: don’t speak ill of the House of Mom, right? But EXCUSE ME, who does she think she is? Disney HR?! I mean, what’s next? Am I going to be scheduled for a disciplinary REVIEW where she’s going to list every time I “forgot” to take out the trash? SHE CAN’T JUST SLAP A REPRIMAND ON ME FOR POSTING ONLINE. THERE’S NO UNION REP HERE, NO CDS. Just pure, unfiltered “Mom Justice.”
And listen to THIS: she said my constant complaints online are “creating a hostile home environment.” Okay, LADY, that’s straight out of the corporate handbook. Since WHEN did you start running this place like it’s Magic Kingdom on a summer Saturday? I wasn’t even allowed a single “time-out” to cool off. This is a BREAK VIOLATION if I’ve ever seen one!
To make it WORSE, I asked her if she’d at least consider letting me appeal the reprimand, and she just looked at me like, “Son, this isn’t Disney; this is REAL LIFE.” Oh REALLY, MOM? Is it REALLY? Because it seems to me that you’re enforcing these “rules” like you’ve got a clipboard and an entire LEGION of managers behind you.
I’m telling you, if she doesn’t let me back on the “Good Child” rotation with at least a warning next time, I might just have to organize the siblings. We’ll form a UNION, with all our grievances on record. And trust me, I have PLENTY! Like, maybe she should consider MY mental well-being for once instead of issuing disciplinary points like she’s got a quota to meet.
So here I am, one reprimand away from termination, all because my mom decided that my “creative outlets” are, apparently, “damaging to household morale.” Great. Just great.
