My aunt has apologized for aggressively grabbing me on the arm yesterday. I also apologized for my reaction. I spoke to her and told her how I didn’t like that and it made me feel like she was trying to hurt me on purpose. She understood and promised to remember to be more gentle with me in the future. I taught her strategies to compromise and be non aggressive with me while being a protective Asian parent and she agreed and accepted it. I forgive her and she forgave me.

Tell her there's a difference between discipline and cruelty.
Genuine discipline is an act of mercy done out of love.
Cruelty is usually cos passed down generational abuse.
Forgiveness breaks links in the chain.
