Gender is real. It's how we present ourselves to society in relation to our sex.

there are degrees of dimorphism, that isn't gender, it's only a scale. whether you are more feminine or masculine, it doesn't change much, since we can tell you are either male or female by your bones' shape, voice depth, skin softness, thighs, leg gap, butt, breasts (or the absence of) and whether you've a d*ck or a p*ssy. the way you dress isn't in any way important compared to all of that.

No, what I mean is this. What is "manly" or "womanly" in a given society often differs from other societies. Yes, biological sex is mostly binary (several exceptions), but gender is how we present ourselves to society.

I'm pretty glad to be done with toxic 1980's guy culture. I like cars, mustaches and guns and shit, but the people that flocked to that were insufferable. The 90's weren't much better when black stuff was cool (rap, basketball, shoes, comedians, etc).
But I'm not really enjoying this sliding scale of femininity all guys are on right now either. It feels like it swung too hard with an over-correction. For fucks sake, 'alternative' or counter-culture is to get into conservative groups now (prepping, church stuff, homesteading)!

That's bullshit.
There's a reason what's "manly" or "womanly" has patterns across cultures, even hundreds or thousands of miles away.
Biological pressures mean that women have a shorter window for fertility, the bottleneck on female reproduction (1 per 9 months typically), and the limitless nature of male reproduction means that women are competed for and men have to do the competing.
In a world where males are disposable and must compete, they will end up needing more strength and also be put to risky work. Rationality is necessary to survive.
Women can focus on childrearing without the same need to fight, and will be protected to preserve the tribe's ability to birth a new generation and grow.
Different behaviors are necessary for men and women, and those lead to biological changes in the brain itself too after millions of years of evolution.

Sex is biological (XX,XY) with rare variation.
Gender is a descriptor, as most nouns in the Romance languages are referenced as masculine, feminine or neutral, thus descriptor of traits. Dysphoria is a crisis of identity in response to trauma. Nobody is concerned with treating illness when it becomes politicized. It looks to me like both sides overreacted to the perception of a tiny fraction of the population cos demagoguery turns to excess. Now for no good reason...

Gwen had dreams. An innocent as she was beautiful, as lonely as she was lovely, Gwen came to Hollywood, looking for love. She thought she'd found it when she found Billy Gordon - and she entrusted him with the one secret that lay hidden in her past...
