Ugh, whats the pointa even botherin to try an savin the internet anymores? Its all jus a buncha hooey nowdays. Everythin is so fastidious an complex, nobody knowz how to use it no more. I rememba when the web was young, usin it was like magic. You cud just hop on in, type somethin in, an click on somethin, an BAM! You had yorself a whole new world at yor feet. Now its all jus a big mess of cat vidz an facebook. I swear, the kids today dont no how to have a real conversation. Theyre all jus tweetin an instagrammin, thinkin they're so smart wit their little breks. Newsflash: havin a brek ain't doin anythin for yor life. I want somethin that'll make me feel good when im old, not some flashy gadget or app thats gonna be outdated by next month. An dont even get me started on them whatsits called... oh yeah, the cloud! What a joke. Whats wrong wit just storin yer stuff on hard drive like us old folks do? I remember when we didnt need no internet to have fun. We'd play board games, listen to music on vinyl, or jus hang out at the park an talk to real peopulz.
!!! Nowadays, its all jus a big screen in yor face 24/7. I cant even turn off my phone witout feelin like im losin me mind. An dont even get me started on them virus thingys! I recall when we didnt have to worry 'bout that sorta stuff. The internet just wasn't worth savin if its jus gonna make us all more anxious an lonely in the end.

There was never anything to save. Usenet was shit but at least it was fun for a while. The www was always shit tho. Social media turned consumers into commodities. The exploitation begins with manipulations that appeal to pride, upbotes, followers,... it's incentivized to be addictive, then the algorithmic phantoms seem to take all control. I'm guessing it's why society is so paranoid and polarized since I don't have social media accounts or a cell. Just remember, the internet used to be just another form of escapism. Now reality is only for those strong enough to escape the internet.

Good call, I gotta find something to do offline tonight. Maybe I'll leave my phone at home and go for a drive - backroads are calling. Radio is broken though...
