Topic: I haven't been on Reddit in a very long time.

I hate its new modern "mobile-friendly" bloated and sluggish user interface that I prefer using the
old
subdomain even on mobile devices, never felt the need to install their app at all.
Can anyone recommend me some good subreddits that aren't unbearable, like niche interests for example? (I don't like the humour-focused "funny" subreddits as Reddit memes never make me laugh but rather evokes some sense of deep-seated contempt for the users most of the time) Alternatively, are there any active websites similar to Reddit that aren't defunct?
I've been stuck using the very same few websites. Also, StumbleUpon is dead, Digg is just a precursor to BuzzFeed, 4chan recycles the same garbage low-quality bait threads.

Reddit was slightly better before 2014-2016, the new moderators ruined it, along with their mass ban-wave of subreddits that are deemed to be "problematic".

I've quite liked r/religion lately.
I feel like they actually have pretty good discussions and a wide variety of different beliefs(not just the Abrahamics)
