And honestly, it’s not like it was doing the job anyway, because no American seems to understand what a bacchus is or who Dionysus was. Americans are fucking retarded.

I live in a super blue state - it's eerie the amount of politics baked into the process right now, and how the progressives have dug their way in like ticks. It's rampant in academia too, I have a bud that's putting together a presentation for a sociology class and the requirement is to highlight a social movement, but it has to be the 'correct' kind of social movement (BLM, trans rights, pro-palestine, etc) - MAGA, alt-right, or gamergate type stuff is off the table.
I'm not saying we need to mount the 10 commandments on the wall and burn all of the science books (I'd really rather we didn't), but the people in power on the school boards are doing nothing but making excuses for enrollement being down and terrible grades - the problem is the people in power and they need to be let go if they are failing.

Yeah I can attest to that. A grand portion of the population simply don't care enough to learn real history, read a fucking book or have meaningful discussions. Let alone even looking up the facts before opening their mouths. That's all gone.
For every one person who is reasonably educated, they get drown and snuffed out by a wave 9999+ mentally challenged, idiotic gooners who spend their day to day allowing themselves to get dumbed down so as to not have to think critically.
The country has long been fucked and some of us are too stupid to see it.

same. I live in a super blue state and jfc I remember having to create a multimedia presentation of whatever we wanna talk about and we had to be in groups. I wanted to talk video games but this one girl in my group wanted us to talk about the palenstine/isreal war and she was stupidly adamant about it too and when I was tasked of researching the war. I made it my missions to look for non bias articles that detail the war from both perspectives and all my submissions were rejected and that she wanted only the palenstine side.
At the point I realize how much is ingrained the progressive politics in universities/colleges. I legit was pissed and crazy part outsider will say stupid shit like "ohh well you voted for that so stop crying" despite not understanding that not everyone who lives in a blue state, voted blue. and for good fucking reason.

Bitch you can't even spell enrollment so you're the problem, not teachers or the BoE

Education is a scam since it did not help student secure a job after graduation, like this dude!
