You could say that the Internet's downfall began (around 2014–2016?) when people figured out they were more powerful when they worked together in groups, and could do anything they wanted by creating their very own personal armies (cancel culture) and playing the victim card, even if they were just a bunch of basement-dwelling weaklings.
