Going back to Japan declaring war with USA. In the history of Japan, they had never lost a war so they thought this would be easy to win.
Now re Palestine. How Israel came about of course is subject for much debate. When they chose Hamas, they also took a chance that this would be the right path. Currently Hamas has no plan B for success. With No Army or Navy and NO Airforce at all - Looks like Hamas has set up Palestine for failure.
