My TikTok feed is full of Chinese folk pretending to be robots. The movements are so roborealistic(not a word) but anyway, why are they doing this? Is it just a new trend or are they trying to make us not know the differences between robots and humans...? Hmm... but only one thing... Why would they not want us to know the difference in the two?

I know its pretty late but I know that Douyin shows mostly tutorials and DIY how to content. It seems their content is geared towards educating their public and have them really knowledgeable in all things electronics, web and programming. But Western Tik Tok doesn't have that much of that content even if you were to go out your way of typing it down and searching for it you'll find few little videos.

I personally don't watch tik tok mostly because I know that's what those types of governments (and dare I say that particular Asian community) want. To dumb and numb everyone else down while they slowly boost themselves economically and socially. As for proof if any of it's true. I mean tbh all I can say is just check out both douyin and tik tok and you'll see the difference. However one I learned is that observe the Asian communities. Especially of east asian origin, learn as much from them as possible and dont let yourself get dumbed down.

Clearly, I'm not just the average TikTok user. Clearly, I'm not blind to the main point of them making the app. I hated TikTok for years before I ended up using it. If you're the type to get easily distracted and influenced, it's the worst app on your phone by far. I only watch videos now strictly based in my country to see what's trending and big opportunities in terms of monetary gain if you somehow were to go viral. I'm not working anymore 9-5 jobs to be a slave. I'm taking advantage of trends on a popular app so that I'm not half dead before I can enjoy retirement. Nothing wrong in that.
