Topic: FPS video games are so fucking boring these days.

They're all the same thing. Either they try to be the ultra realistic milsim type or they just want to be overwatch or whatever garbage is the trend right now. Honestly, the same can be said about most video games.

Pubg is the same old. Good shooting mechanics and not too complicated, not pay to win. Also free to play

I just want more FPS games without the S.

what would make an interesting FPS game in your opinion? What kind of theme or mechanics would you like to see in one?

Immersive big worlds, programmable weapons, customizability (user-made mods, level editor), time warping mechanics (slow down, rewind), multiplayer, parkour movements, chasing… IDK, I don't play games anymore.

Just because something “novel” has been done before doesn't mean you should ignore it, if you reinvent the wheel you will find other ways to take your own unique spin on it.

Yeah thats why I dont play new games. Developers made same shit over and over again with no inovation and no original ideas.

Honestly I'd like to play an FPS that used my old high school's floor plan. Not because I wanted to shoot the place up, but it just had a really weird kind of cobbled-together floorplan that I felt would make for interesting tactical situations.

Redneck Rampage was the last one I enjoyed, for being a Doom / Duke Nukem clone, the joke was pretty funny. After that, RPGs and MMOs got me and I never looked back.
