Topic: Any rad breakcore artists?

+twitzy <31.7 year ago #64,645

I know breakcore is a somewhat obscure genre, but I'd love to hear what other artist there are that I may not know as I personally adore breakcore :3 For those looking at this post saying "wut is breakcore?" I recommend you listen to artists like goreshit, usedcvnt, and Shoebill. They make amazing breakcore, jungle, and dnb music!!!

To simplify this post for you I was basically asking if anyone knows any rad breakcore artists
But it makes sense if you may not know what breakcore is, as it's kinda obscure. But if you're curious do look at the artists I have said, as they are my favorites :3

I used to listen to these artists: Venetian Snares, weyheyhey !!, TechDiff, RØTATØR, Xanopticon, Drumcorps, Squarepusher, Binray, Reizoko Cj…
I wish music of today were still full of energy, but most breakcore tracks of today seem too rushed, lack variety, not as detailed, and made in a popular DAW. There's also Renegade Android, katagiri, Лне Хеб.
More obscure breakcore artists can probably be found on SoundCloud.

Thank you so much!! <3 But I definitely agree with you, It's very hard to find good breakcore music and although I must admit I sometimes like the generic breakcore (which it can be debatable if it's even breakcore) stuff people make, I do wish more people experimented when it comes to breakcore music as that's basically breakcores soul is just experimenting with crazy, cool, chopped 300 bpm drum breaks! :3

Drill 'n' bass, IDM, jazz fusion, math rock then? You could say the same with Aphex Twin but there were “Run The Place Red” and “Mangle 11”, TechDiff also went more into dubstep later on.

I highly recommend Doormouse's album Freaked Out Mess. You can listen to it on YouTube and download it on Bandcamp.

Bumping this thread for something more unhinged than the current hyperpop zoomer era of Bandcamp tranime ambient D'n'B made in FL Studio using the Amen Break for the 950,862,173 time with furry coombait disguised as "breakcore" music. (I swear to god Bandcamp feels like a PsyOp, have you seen what kind of articles they write and avatars that pop up on albums? I wish SoundCloud was more usable though and less resource-intensive, plays badly on my phone's speakers every time)

yikes..definitely hardcore tranime gooner vibes. its ironic because I can these same types calling everyone else "cringe normies" when they themselves are just glorified hipsters douchebags.
