Topic: Image search engine for WindowsPhone

+Anonymous A1.7 year ago #64,600

Hey there, I'm desperately looking for a image search engine which works on my WindowsPhone. The only browser on this device is an ancient Internet Explorer, so many sites simply wont work. Google images is the only one which works, but it censors a lot of results. I tried so many: Yahoo, Duckduckgo, Searx, Starpage, Yandex... they all don't work! Has anyone an idea? Many thanks in advance!

Is Internet Explorer still available?
Support for Internet Explorer ended on June 15, 2022.

Does your phone even have service anymore?

OP is a troll. No one fucked with Windows phones when they were new and no one surely isn't messing with them after their discontinuing.

Wait, so @OP is your sister?

No, she had it a long time ago.

Well, it's likely trash now. My old phones literally disappear within the year after me replacing them.

Op here, yes the phone is trash. But that's the entire point! I'm doing a permanent dopamine detox and there is a simple rule: The more dumb a device is, it is less capable of dopaminergic stimulation. All these restraints of dumb devices are good actually. Maybe its actually better, that there are no functioning image search engines for my Lumia.

I had one too, 735 I think. I missed the Blackberry craze and considered Microsoft the nerd play at the time. If I wasn't going to full tin foil hat my life, I wanted to at least avoid full normie membership. If it didn't die off, I probably would have stayed loyal and bought into the Surface push that came next.
In any case, it's been dead a decade, time to move on. There are still flip phones with limited internet usefulness, or even settings on mainline phones to limit screen time if you need the reminder to get off. I tend to buy smaller screen phones: still can use apps for work but wasting all day on it would be silly.
